Most rewarding or surprising teaching moment:   I love the "aha" moments when ideas click and a child suddenly understands.   I was most touched this fall when one of the preschoolers said, "I love you, Mrs. Stegenga."

What you love most about Lamont:   Lamont has a great community.   People reach out and care for each other.   God's love is active here.

How you make Jesus real to your students:   I believe that questions and concerns should be addressed as they come up.   God cares deeply about each of us and wants us to know him.   In preschool, we marvel at the beauty and variety of creation.   We look at the variety of apples and leaves.   God's creation is amazing.   Every child is very special.

Favorite Bible passage:   Genesis 50:21--When our family was in a difficult situation, God used the words of Joseph to remind me that God provides for my children.

Favorite hobbies, interests, and activities:   I love to read.   I enjoy spending time at the lake watching my children swim and tube.   I also like to vacation with my family.
