2023/2024 School Supply List

Here is a list of supplies your students will need for the upcoming school year. Each child must have a pair of indoor shoes to be left at school to be put on after each recess. All students need athletic shoes to be worn for gym class. Please make sure the shoes you purchase will not leave black marks on the flooring. All students need a backpack or book bag. Please label shoes, backpack & other items with your child’s name.

The items below are required tools to help your student succeed this school year. Please help them be prepared by having these supplies purchased by the start of the school year!

Preschool (Mrs. Baker) – (1) backpack big enough to hold a folder, library books and extra clothes (1) change of clothes, (1) plastic folder for taking art projects and notes home, (6) glue sticks, (1) box of Crayola Markers, (1) plastic pencil box, (1) 8 color tray of Crayola Watercolor Paint with brush,  (4) Expo dry erase markers, (1) box of Kleenex, (1) water bottle to bring to school each day (1) Pair of indoor shoes to keep in their shoe bin-- should be a type that your child can fasten or tie without help.  Please label shoes & backpack with your child’s name only. All other supplies will be provided.
  
Pre-Kindergarten (Mrs. Baker) – (1) backpack big enough to hold folder, library books, snow gear and extra set of clothes, (1) plastic folder with pockets for taking notes and projects home, (1) box regular Crayola Markers, (1) box of Crayola thin markers, (1) 8 color tray of Crayola Watercolor Paint with brush, (8) glue sticks, (2) boxes Crayola crayons, (1) hand sanitizer, (1) water bottle to bring to school each day,  (1) pair indoor shoes for your child - should be a type that your child can fasten or tie without help, AM class - (1) box of sandwich size baggies & (1) extra box of Crayola thin markers, PM class – (1) box of Band-aids and an extra box of regular Crayola markers. Please label shoes & backpack with your child’s name only. All other supplies will be provided.

Kindergarten (Mrs. Molewyk) – Backpack, small beach/bath towel or blanket for rest time, (1) container of sanitizing wipes, (1) box of tissues, (2) large glue sticks, (2) black expo markers and a pair of indoor shoes that are appropriate for gym class. The student should be able to fasten or tie with minimal help. Please label any personal items (not school supplies) with your child’s name. All other supplies will be provided. 

First Grade (Mrs. Such) Indoor shoes--students need indoor shoes which will stay at school all year that they can confidently and quickly put on by themselves. If they haven’t mastered laces yet, please stick with Velcro or slip-on shoes. Make sure they can run in them for PE. (1) backpack, (4) Large glue sticks, pencil box, (1) 70-page wide-ruled spiral notebook, (2) 1 inch 3 ring binder, (2) folders with pockets, and a (1) pack of dry erase markers. Water bottles are welcome, but please no twist tops. Water bottles with a pop top and straw are perfect for busy first graders! (Camelback or Contigo are great options). Please label all items with your child’s name. (glue sticks, whiteboard markers, pencils, folders, etc.). Please also bring at least 1 (or more) container of disinfecting wipes, Kleenex, and a box of #2 pencils for the “class stash”!  (No need to label class stash item). All other supplies will be provided.

Second Grade (Mrs. Kamp) – Backpack, (4) glue sticks, pencil box, a package of pencils, (2) 70-page wide-ruled spiral note book (no binders), (2) folders with pockets, (1) box each: fat washable markers, crayons, color pencils, (2) 4 packs of dry erase markers, (1) scissors, (1) ruler with inches and centimeters on it, (1) box of Kleenex, and (2) container of Clorox wipes, (1) pair of indoor shoes to be left at school. A set of earbuds/headphones for chromebook use. Please label all items with your child’s name.

Third Grade (Ms. Mersman) – A study Bible will be provided. (1) box of tissues, (1) containers of disinfecting wipes (they do not need to be labeled), (2) glue sticks, (1) scissors, (2) dry erase markers,  (1) folder,  (1) box of either markers, colored pencils or crayons, (1) pencil box, (1) package of pencils, (1) wide ruled spiral bound notebook, a set of earbuds/headphones for Chromebook use, (1) pair of indoor shoes that can be used for P.E. and left at school. Please label all items with your child’s name. All other supplies will be provided.

Fourth Grade (Mrs. Elzinga) - A study Bible will be provided for the 3rd & 4th graders. (2) boxes of Kleenex, (2) containers of Lysol wipes, (2) glue stick, (1) scissors, (4) dry erase markers, a dry erase eraser, (3) different color folders,  (2) package of loose leaf paper, (1) box of colored pencils or crayons, (1) box of fat washable markers, (1) pencil box, (2) packages of pencils, (1) pack of 4”x6” index cards, (2) composition book, (3) spiral bound notebook, a set of earbuds/headphones for chrome book use, (4th grade needs a protractor for math), backpack, (1) pair of indoor gym shoes to be left at school. Please label all items with your child’s name.

Fifth Grade - Eighth Grade
Bible (Pastor Tuttle), Social Studies/Language Arts (Mr. Meekhof), Math/Science (Ms. DeYoung), Choir/Band (Mrs. Groendyk)
A backpack, (1) pair of indoor tennis shoes for PE and classroom wear to be kept at school all year (winter boots are NOT allowed to be worn in classrooms),  (3) one-subject spiral notebooks (one for Math, one for SS, and one for LA), (1) standard composition notebook (LA/SS),  blue or black pens, plenty of extra pencils (2 for choir), a large eraser, fine tip Dry Erase Marker in a darker color to write on white (Choir), (1) large 3 ring binder (with or without a zipper) or accordion folder for organizing handouts, (7) folders or dividers (one for each subject), (1) pencil pouch/box, (1) pack colored pencils & and pencil sharpener (LA/SS), (1) glue stick, (2 or 3) box of Kleenex for classroom (to be divided among MS classrooms), (1) Clorox wipe container (for homeroom classroom), (1) Highlighter (Bible), (1) pack of graphing paper (Math).  Must have a set of earbuds/headphones and a mouse for chrome book use. A study Bible will be provided to all 5-8th grade students which they will use for middle school and then will take home when they graduate. Students in grades five through eight need to have their band instruments in good repair. Please label all items with your child’s name.
